About Erin Tower, LMHC, BC-DMT, CYT, MaACCS

Founder, Cascade Counseling & Wellness

As a two-time cancer survivor I approach my work not only as a trained clinician, but as one who has personally experienced the vast range of joys and struggles we face in our lives. We each have our own story filled with fear, worry, anger and stress, but also courage, love, and accomplishment. What I offer cannot take away these challenges and experiences; rather, I hope to provide a new way of being with them. I believe in the transformative powers of living more mindfully and am passionate about guiding others as they learn about their habits, choices, behaviors and the ways they can experience their lives more fully.

I am a Licensed Mental Health CounselorBoard Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, and MaMHCA Advanced Certified Clinical Supervisor. In 2008, I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Therapy, with a Specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy, from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. In addition, I have completed the 100-Hour Yoga for Emotional Health training through Soulful Yoga Therapy, and the 30-Hour Relax and Renew®: Learning to Teach Restorative Yoga training with Judith Hanson Lasater. I am a member of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association (MaMHCA) and the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).

Clinically, I have focused on supporting individuals and groups across the lifespan experiencing complex challenges. I have worked with infants, toddlers and their families facing medical conditions, developmental delays, and social risks; adolescents and adults receiving care at a private psychiatric hospital and eating disorders clinic; and older adults living in a long-term care facility.

Currently, I provide individual psychotherapy to adults with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout, as well as supervision for post-master’s clinicians, MA LMHCs, and Registered/Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapists. I am also a member of the Boston Children’s Foundation Guardians of Isadora performance group.
